The boys varsity basketball team, under the direction of coaches Paul Ellwood and   Joseph Tardif, won the Suffolk County Class B Championship with a score of 58-50 against Port Jefferson School District. The team was welcomed into town with an escort from the Mattituck-Cutchogue Fire Departments in celebration.
