The Mattituck-Cutchogue School District is pleased to offer a 1:1 Chromebook program for students in grades Kindergarten - 12. While our students have been using technology in many of their classes the past few years, this 1:1 program expands that use to all of their classes throughout the school day.

Each student in grades 3 – 12 will be assigned a MUFSD-supplied Chromebook which the student will bring along with other classroom materials to each class. The Chromebook will be available to take home at the end of the day for charging, each student is responsible for bringing a fully charged device to school each day. Chromebooks for grades Kindergarten, First and Second Grade will remain at school.

Chromebook Insurance

The district has contracted with an insurance provider to provide affordable insurance coverage on district issued devices. The Worth Avenue Group will protect our student assigned Chromebooks against accidental damage, cracked screens, liquid spills, liquid submersion, theft, fire or flood damage, vandalism, natural disasters, power surge. The district has assumed the cost of this insurance for the 2023-2024 school year.

A one year policy for a Chromebook from the Worth Ave Group includes coverage for the following:

• Accidental Damage (Drops & Spills)
• Cracked Screen
• Liquid Submersion
• Fire, Flood & Natural Disaster
• Power Surge By Lightning
• Theft & Vandalism (*requires police report)
