Hands for Haiti - Junior High Student Council will be donating all proceeds collected at the upcoming Snow Ball Dance to help those suffering from the earth quake in Haiti. Also doing there part to help out, students and staff from the high school will be competing against teams from other North Fork school communities in various field day events on Tuesday, February 9th at Southold High School. All proceeds will also be donated.

Polio Plus - On March 10th, Junior High Early Act will be hosting a "Purple Pinkie Day" to help in the fight against polio. Last year's event raised over 250 dollars for Polio Plus--which is to help immunize against polio worldwide and eradicate it from the world.

CAST Soup For Bowls - The Junior High Early Act Club has collected over 300 cans of soup and over 77 boxes of crackers that will be delivered to CAST.

Blood Drive - Students from the school paper "Mattitalk" hosted a blood drive at MHS this past Friday where 49 units of blood were collected for the Long Island Blood Services. 147 lives will be positively effected.

Through proceeds made at the North Fork Invitational Wrestling Tournament, the Mattituck-Greeport-Southold Wrestling Team donated $800 to the American Parkinson's Disease Association to help them in their fight against Parkinson's. Thanks go out to all of the wrestlers, coaches, parents, and community members that were involved in the effort.
